  • Aiming for another runaway success

    The Mitchell Street Mile will be back bigger and better this year on Sunday 20 September.

    Sport and Recreation Minister Gary Higgins was joined by Athletics NT general manager John Bowden and Darwin Lord Mayor Katrina Fong Lim to announce the Mile’s date today.

  • The Demons back in Alice Springs

    The Melbourne Demons return to their second home in the Territory tomorrow in preparation for Saturday’s AFL Indigenous Round against Port Adelaide.

    The match is part of the Northern Territory Government’s agreement with the AFL that the Demons will play four home matches in the Territory in 2015 and 2016.

  • Tennis legend checks out progress of Darwin’s grass court

    Australian tennis hero Todd Woodbridge today cast an approving eye over the progress of Darwin’s temporary grass courts at Marrara Sporting Complex.

    The courts are being prepared to host world class tennis when the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group quarterfinal tie between Australia and Kazakhstan takes place from 17-19 July
