Grass Roots Development Grant Allocation Approvals Round 1 2004/2005


The Grass Roots Development Program is designed to support new and innovative projects that promote opportunities for ongoing participation in sport and physically active recreation. The program has a particular focus on clubs and regional and remote organisations at the grass roots level and provides small grants (maximum of $3,000) directly to such activities.

Grass Roots Development Grant applications are assessed twice a year, however organisations may only have one approved application per financial year. The closing dates of the two funding rounds are 27 August 2004 and 28 January 2005.

In Round 1 of the 2004/2005 grants program fifty-five Grass Roots applications were submitted and thirty-nine were approved for funding.
