NTIS Awards
The inaugural Northern Territory Institute of Sport (NTIS) athlete award night was held in 1997. The aim of these annual awards is to recognise and celebrate our young athletes’ efforts and achievements in the sporting arena. The awards also provide the opportunity to recognise important sponsors, partners and supporters of the NTIS.
The NTIS gratefully acknowledges the support of their key sponsors:
Carbine Club - Sponsor of the Individual Athlete Scholarship program. They also sponsor the major category award winners at the annual NTIS awards night.

The NTIS awards are as follows:
- Athlete of the Year (Senior)
- Athlete of the Year (Junior)
- Volunteer recognition
- Squad Athlete of the Year (presented to an athlete from each squad for dedication and excellence of achievement)
- National recognition
